This is where I shamelessly beg for money
But don’t worry, it’s not for me! So, in an effort to make my life less vanilla, to challenge myself by doing something difficult, and to have something to say when people ask “Tell me one interesting thing about you,” I’m going to train for a marathon. And so is Steve, because he is somewhat of a copycat.
So, I have to beg for money because we signed up to do it with Team in Training, which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They provide us coaches and what sounds like a pretty comprehensive training program, and in return we are supposed to raise $3500. Each. Which is a lot of money.
So that is why, dear Friends List, I am asking you for your help. If you have a few pennies you could throw my way, I’d be eternally thankful, because while I’m excited about the training, the fundraising bit frightens me.
