(no subject)
i just realized how much i don't write in this thing and how much a few others do. so here's a quick update should anyone care:
1. i have accepted a full-time position in the sandestin branch since i've already been out there for about 2 months now. i've gotten to know many of the customers and i love the people i work with. i love sarcastic, cynical people who don't take life way too seriously. i feel as though i just fit in at that branch.
2. now that i have accepted that position, i don't have to deal with annie or jackie ever again. well, occasionally i have to talk to them, but i'll never have to work for em! :) and now i get to take the vacation that i want cuz i don't have to contend with the other rover, sam. :P
3. liisa and i are going on a fantastic cruise at the end of october. that means no stressing over party planning and we get to have an ACTUAL vacation. i got the tickets in the mail on friday. it's gonna be great!
4. i've been buying halloweenie decorations because i love the holiday (even though i will be on the cruise this year) and i'm realizing just how much the retail industry is moving away from it. when did it become necessary to start decorating for christmas in september??? the halloween decorations barely have room in stores as it is...now they have to share with christmas??? i know people still celebrate it. kids still pick out costumes and go trick-or-treating. so where the hell is the abundance of fun costumes and crazy yard decorations like there used to be? *sigh* i won't give up on you, halloweenie. don't you worry.
5. if you read this, chris, i hope you're doing well. my parents still ask about ya and say "hey!" :)
6. my car is finally going into the shop tomorrow, so i'll have a rental car for a few days. at least my toby will be all better and will look nice and pretty again.™
