jumping on the bandwagon...

1.  Almost every part of my personality is a complete contradiction to another. I like to think of it as balance, but sometimes it really annoys me.

2. I try very hard to maintain appreciation for everything in my life. Occasionally this leads to very childish behavior on my part, dancing down the street and laughing at immature jokes. Frankly, I'd rather act like a child and really enjoy the things that I have.

3. I'm an awful cook. I'm not incapable of feeding myself, but when it comes to feeding other people I'm constantly intimidated and very self-conscious about my opinions. I wish that I had enough time to commit to really learning, taking classes or something but my schedule just doesn't allow it.

4. I'm so burnt out and over school. I can't wait to graduate in December. At the same time, I'm terrified of having to start a new job. I'm a good student; I understand the expectations of school. If I could get paid to be a student, I think I would mostly because I'm already good at it.

5. I prefer consistency to change. I would rather things stay relatively the same, but I'm so used to things changing in the past couple of years I am utterly confused and bored when things stay the same. Ironically, I feel like I've adjusted to the consistency of change in my life. How very contradictory. (see #1)

6. I am one of the most stubborn and determined people you will ever meet. Once I set my mind to something no one will ever be able to change my mind until I change it for myself.

7. I have a mild obsession with Disney movies, but only mild. It was a very important part of my childhood. They may have given me unrealistic and idealistic expectations of life and love, but it still reminds me to stay positive.

8. I am incredibly forgiving. It may be considered a weakness by some people, but it's just something I've always done. Wouldn't you want another chance?

9. I do my very best to be completely and utterly honest. Don't ever ask a question you aren't prepared to hear the honest answer to. Lying is the quickest way to piss me off.

10. I'm left-handed. Some people know, some people don't, some people forget. Having somebody point it out is like having somebody point out I'm a girl. I forget that it is different for other people.

11. I rarely EVER burn bridges. It has to be a really big reason and hardly ever happens. I will do whatever I can to fix things so I don't have to lose a friend.

12. I'm a peacemaker. I hate conflict and try to smooth things over constantly. see #11

13. I will always choose country over city. I would rather live in a tree or a tent than a high-rise loft with a city skyline view.

14. I have a slight knowledge of five different languages. I'm only fluent in English  (obviously), but I speak a little bit of Spanish, Italian, French and I sign a minimal amount.

15. I have a hard time seeing things through. I usually get really excited about projects, but then lose interest and don't ever really finish them. I'm trying to practice finishing things.

16. I have wanted to be a vet, an astronaut, a ballerina, a teacher, any number of things. I'm about to finish college, and I don't have the slightest idea what I'm going to do when I graduate.

17. I have a fascination with the supernatural. I'm curious about ghosts, spirits, mediums, magic. I don't actually mess with any of it, but every tv show, movie, documentary that comes on, I watch from start to finish.

18. I still sleep with a teddy bear. Marshmallow is the coolest.

19. I have a fantastically close family, immediate and otherwise. As we age, I think we all appreciate it more, but just about every holiday, celebration, etc. we have some sort of gathering including a family reunion with even distant relatives from Kentucky every other summer. We are all very aware when someone is missing. I thought it was just that way for everyone, but the more people I talk to, the more I realize it's so unique and special.

20. I love games, specifically board games. I almost always have a card game open when I'm on my computer, every family gathering (see #19) generates a series of catch phrase, sorry, spades, pictionary, madgab, parcheesi, etc.

21. I have a pretty good memory, mostly of people and places. It gives me a great sense of direction; I can almost always get back to somewhere if you can get me there once. I'm pretty good with names. Occasionally my family thinks I fabricate memories because no one else remembers.

22. I'm simultaneously impossibly clumsy and naturally graceful. (see #1)

23. I'm a pretty quiet mover. I consistently sneak up on people, and my family used to joke that I can orb from room to room because they couldn't hear me come in or leave.

24. I love pictures. love love love them. It's sort of what I collect. I wish I had more effective tactics for displaying them. I like to go back to candid pictures and relive the moments, or remember people in my life even if they were only in it for a moment.

25. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I have a very strong and guarded heart, but I embrace my human emotions as being a real and important part of life. I don't typically bother hiding them. On the same note, I'm a pretty positive person with a very quick rebound rate when I'm angry or upset.
