Well I finally got out of the province again for the first time in nearly 10 years. AND I finally got to go camping for the first time. I've learned some things in the process....
1) Hypothermia has a quick and easy cure, and it's kinky.
2) I'm apparently a frequent sufferer of the above condition.
3) The asthma they improperly diagnosed me with as a kid may actually exist now.
4) Boones rocks.
5) Always bring a good book just in case.
6) Staying away from tourist traps is a good idea on long weekends.
7) Always get extra firewood.
8) No matter how prepared you think you are, you'll always forget enough stuff to complicated something(s).
9) I'm a flat-land hiker.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but all in all I had fun popping my camping cherry. Even with my hiking relating asthma. Next time though, I hope I'm in better shape, oh and that it's warmer.
learning,
