The little things
First off, hi to all my new friends! I'm horrible and have fallen way behind again, but know that I'm very glad y'all gave me the honor of being your lj friend. I'm spastic, random, and I'm not the greatest at commenting on other people's stuff, so that's what you're in for when you sign up to be friends with me. :D Just thought I'd give you fair warning.
In other news, Montana's being Montana. Meaning it's cold, and cloudy, and doesn't give me sunshine when I have time to sit out and tan. -_-
So I got sorta bored and made some chocolate chip cookies today. They're definitely a lot harder to mix when I use Crisco instead of butter, but it works. And I kinda like them a little better with the Crisco. And that also means I can eat more without feeling as guilty because I worked my shoulder off trying to stir those bad boys. :p
Get to take Eliot to work for the first time today. I'm quite excited for that, even if I'm taking him on the same journey that I take every time I go to work. It'll be different with him. :D
Writing is really picking up for me again. Star Trek has pretty much consumed my life at the moment. (Supernatural? Psych? Magnificent Seven? Original fiction? I do not know what any of these words mean.) Coldplay has once again become my muse. Hopefully I'll have a few oneshots up within the next week, as well as the next chapter of Requiem.
Still having a hard time getting hours for work. I'm pretty much "on call" at both places because they don't have enough hours to officially hire me. But I've been working at the Murph a lot lately, so hopefully I can at least make enough money for a couple months of rent and my schoolbooks (EW SCHOOL).
And that is the summary of my boring, laid-back, typical almost-jobless summer day.
