Sorry to be spamming y'all today, but I do have a pretty major prayer/well wishes request:
My grandmother is having a procedure tomorrow morning - she's had a headache nonstop for several months now. She has consistently had health problems, but this particular one is wearing her down. I just got back from visiting her, and she said that there have been many moments where she wishes Jesus could take her home - the pain is that bad.
Tomorrow's procedure is to (hopefully) find a way to ease that pain. Using MRIs and Xrays and such, the doctors are going to stick a long needle into her neck to probe around in there. Because of a previous surgery that she had to fuse several vertebrae in her neck, the needle can only be inserted at the very top of her spine, right below her skull, thus making it even more of a delicate operation than usual, as that's where a lot of nerves are. It's pretty much a last-ditch effort to solve the problem - if it doesn't work, the doctors don't know if they can do anything else to ease her headache.
If you think about it, please pray/send good thoughts and well wishes that the doctors' hands and tools will be steady, that they will work, and that my grandma will finally be able to get rid of her headache. I know that no matter what happens, God is watching over her and protecting her, but I don't know if I'm quite ready to let go of her yet.
