[Grey, deadened wasteland, as far as the eye can see. The camera shows the midst of a huge battlefield, littered with long-dead bodies and fallen war machines. [Terra perks up immediately.]

Cecil! I'm so happy to see you again. Are you alright?

[trinitycrusades]

As I'm glad to see you too, Terra. I'm fine -- if there are any monsters here, I doubt they will be too much trouble.

[heavenslament]

[She tinkers around with the sky phone features and blinks.]

Oh! You're not that far from Figaro, Cecil. Should I find you, then?

[trinitycrusades]

If it wouldn't be a hassle for you, I'd be grateful. I'm heading east to the ruins to take shelter from monsters, so I'll wait for you there.

[heavenslament]

[She nods.]

I'll have an airship take me there. We'll find you soon, I promise.

[trinitycrusades]

Thank you, Terra. It might be difficult to land an airship in the middle of the battlefield, but I can come to you if need be.

[heavenslament]

[She smiles into the sky phone.]

Don't worry, we'll manage. Just look for us, okay?

[trinitycrusades]

I will.

[Whenever Terra arrives, Cecil has made it to the outskirts of the ruins to wait for her. But monsters have caught up with him, and he's currently fending off a pair of Zaghnols.]

[heavenslament]

[Terra spots Cecil in time to see that he also has unwanted company. Darting forward, she can only hope it doesn't absorb her Holy missiles....]

[trinitycrusades]

[The missiles strike one of the huge beasts, and Cecil wastes no time in slashing at it while it staggers. However, the other Zaghnol turns on Terra, and begins charging electricity through its horns for a powered-up Thundara spell.]

Terra!

[heavenslament]

Cecil, run!

[Terra blasts that one target again with Holy, hoping to disrupt its charging magic. Unfortunately, that doesn't quite succeed. As the Thundara spell is unleashed, she tries to leap out of the way and manages to escape the brunt of the blast though not its power entirely.]

[trinitycrusades]

[Cecil is too slow to react and suffers the brunt of the Thundara, while the second Zaghnol charges at Terra. Trying to ignore the painful white-hot electricity of the spell, Cecil moves to Cover her and gets thrown off his feet by a Heave attack. He recovers quickly, standing and casting Cura on them both. His white magic still doesn't compare to Rosa's or even Ceodore's, but it's better than nothing.]

I'll distract them, Terra! Use your strongest spells!

[heavenslament]

[Terra nods and transforms, not self-conscious about doing so since no one else is around and Cecil's seen her like that plenty of times. Charging up magical energy into her arms, she unleashes Riot Blade with all her strength.]

[trinitycrusades]

[Cecil moves out of her line of fire as Riot Blade is unleashed, and it instantly decimates the monsters. Relieved, Cecil casts Cura on himself and then on Terra once more, glancing to the transformed half-Esper.]

Are you all right?

[heavenslament]

[Terra lands, then reverts to her human form.]

I'm fine, Cecil. What about you? Do you need more healing?

[trinitycrusades]

I'll be fine, thank you.

[He looks around to check there are no more monsters close by, then sheathes his sword.]

Let us hurry. I don't doubt there will be more monsters if we linger.
