[The post starts mid-conversation between Ceodore and a moogle. Namely with the princeling muttering to himself.]
- ...man, the Captain's going to kill me for going missing.
[Seriously. Kain will not like this. They were on an important mission and the man won't take 'I was pulled into a different world' as an excuse.]
- Are you listening, kupo?

Ceodore! What's going on?!

[Okay, so yelling at him is going to do more harm than good if he's concentrating on a fight. Cecil reins in his surprise and worry and lets the kid get on with defeating his opponent undistracted.]

Hullo, Father!

What were you just fighting? Where have you been?
Reply
Huh? I've been with Kain. You sent us to Damcyan for supplies.
[Oh wait, right, this... isn't home. That's tricky.]
Reply
[Yeah, he has no idea what he's talking about. Kain has been missing for almost two decades back at home, as far as Cecil knows.]

[Did Odin smack you on the head again? Or hmm... Ceodore's memories of Gaia are sketchy but coming back bit by bit. Or at least, enough for him to blow off discussing reconstruction at home for something way more important.]
How's Ursula?
Reply
[And he should know that by now, but perhaps returning here has left him confused.]
Ursula disappeared before you did, on the Lunatic Pandora. She hasn't returned.

[Some of that sounds familiar and Ceodore just stews on it, trying to drum up memories of what happened. Eventually he does remember the fight trying to stop some monolith and Ursula vanishing and then a flood of monsters falling from the sky. It seems terribly long ago to him now, after everything that happened.
It's sinking in though. She's not here. Ceodore expels a long, frustrated breath.]

[And he means it. Even if there's been friction between them lately, Ursula is still his goddaughter, and he's still worried about her.]
Where are you?
Reply
It's okay. She's tough. [It's one of the things he likes most about her.] Not sure where this is. Porom says it's somewhere inside the mountains of the Mist Continent.
How's Mother?
Reply
[May as well tell him the blunt truth, since he'll see for himself when he speaks to Rosa anyway.]
Porom knows where you are? Is she coming to collect you?
Reply
[Mother worries too much.]
She's here. We're going to walk back to Mysidia. I think.
[But he's not a little kid. Does not NEED an escort, thanks.]
Reply
[...And even then, she'll probably worry anyway.]
All right. Just be careful -- the monster population has exploded in numbers on the Mist Continent, ever since the Lunar Cry.

[And he means it. It's probably a reckless (and flippant) attitude to take about something so grave, but he's young and it sounds like an adventure.]
