I intend to travel to the Citadel of Trials. Lufene must be stopped, or she will lay waste to this entire world. I have faced the Citadel before... if doing so again will give me strength to defeat Lufene and Garland, then I will not hesitate.

[At the question, Cecil pauses. Of course, he can't really give an unbiased opinion when Kain is his best friend... but he'll give his thoughts on the matter regardless.]
I can't condone Kain's actions in attacking his allies, but he has not tried to conceal what harm he caused, and he apologised for it. What he says is worthy of our trust.
[Whether the others want to forgive Kain, though... That's their choice.]

Yes, and not just Kain. He said he and a small group gave their lives stopping the manikins. We owe much to them all.
