He'll leave it public partially as an act of penance, partially because he's still readjusting to these devices and their filters. He isn't even sure that all of these people are here- he's been gone from Gaia for only a couple weeks, but to him it feels much, much longer.

No. Not here on Gaia. Firion... we fought beside one another in the conflict of the gods. For Cosmos.

That's because forgetting is the entire nature of the war. There were several cycles before the one you recall, all of them erased from our memories.

[Kain refuses to go into more detail unfiltered, but it takes a few moments of fumbling with the device until he's got it set up.]

I understand if it's a lot to adjust to... I was unsure at first as well, when I was told the truth. But that was the nature of the war. Endless cycles, repeating countless times...

I wouldn't insist on speaking to all of you of this were it not the truth. Nor would I think of you as I do... Forgetting is the nature of the Void, but perhaps in time you will all come to recall something of the previous cycle.

There were five others. Lightning, Tifa, Vaan, Laguna, and Yuna. [He's hoping that perhaps names will help bring up memories.]

We weren't there... because... our part in the war was done. That's the simple explanation.

Neither of them recall it to my knowledge. [Mostly because they didn't react to "Warriors of Cosmos" and had he known that, he'd have addressed them individually.] Much as I knew nothing of it before I left. But I plan to speak with them in the near future to confirm that.

We... did something that was necessary to aid our warriors in the next cycle. But it came at a great cost.
