[After seeing Moguo's video of Lunatic Pandora, Quistis quickly makes a post of her own, looking concerned but under control. Her tone is curt; the feed is primarily directed towards her fellow members of SeeD, but she has decided to leave it open to all interested parties just in case. With Lunatic Pandora on the move, it's going to effect a lot ( Read more... )

Excuse my uninformed status, but what exactly is the Lunatic Pandora and its consequences?

[Beatrix plays at the ends of her hair with a furrowed brow. Of course she's wondering just what the possibilities are of it passing over Alexandria.]

Lunatic Pandora is a structure that was unearthed in my homeworld over fifteen years ago, during the Sorceress War. It's origins are unknown, but it's said to have fallen from the moon during a Lunar Cry. Lunatic Pandora itself can induce the Lunar Cry, which summons a massive amount of monsters from the moon. [This sounds more and more ridiculous to her every time she says it. She frowns.]

It seems to be heading south.

[The literal translation of everything Quistis has said is... 'not good'.]

Can it be stopped?

[As this is the obvious question.]

We have to assume that it can be. We were unable to stop it when it caused the Lunar Cry in our world, and the city of Esthar was flooded with foreign monsters as a result. If not for Esthar's strong military, I don't think the city would have survived with as little damage as it did.

[Beatrix pauses for a moment.]

What is our plan of action? If we watch it for too long, it may be too late. Does it have a set destination, or will it come to a halt randomly?

[Because she really doesn't want to play the 'adapt or die' game.]

It's heading south, and Mjrn mentioned that it may pass through Conde Petit or the Hunter's Camp. She also cited Lindblum -- being one of Gaia's major cities. It would be a terrible blow to Gaia if it were attacked.

Lindblum.

[Beatrix hasn't forgotten that city or what it's done for Alexandria.]

We must stop it before then. The regent, no doubt, has an impressive military, but it may be too much for even him.

It can be boarded, if it can be reached. Irvine suggested the tried-and-true method of nailing it in the side with an airship. [She's not sure how she feels about that, actually.]

It seems there would be repercussions for something that appears a bit brash. Is there another way, or is that the only one? I'll trust your judgment, as it's a mechanism familiar to you. I ask only on what I can do to assist.

I'm not sure. I'm hoping our Commander will give his input soon, he lead the previous charge into Lunatic Pandora, and I would follow any directive he gave.

We'll come up with a plan, quickly. We have to. I'll let you know if I hear anything, and I'm going to be keeping an eye on the network for any notes about Lunatic Pandora's movements.
