No need to apologize. There are even people in our world who don't know what it is or what it does. There aren't as many hard facts about it as I would like, but it was unearthed during the Sorceress War several years back. It's said to have fallen from the moon during the Lunar Cry that destroyed Centra.

When Lunatic Pandora is in the proper alignment with the moon, it induces the Lunar Cry, summoning an enormous tide of monsters to -- well, in this case, Gaia. Very bad news.

In our world, it summons monsters from the moon. Gaia has two moons. Reason enough for concern, even though no two worlds are the same. Even if there are no monsters to be summoned, it's possible that Lunatic Pandora could still cause something catastrophic.
