Garland's aim is to merge Gaia with Terra. He didn't choose to bring you here; that was a mistake as a result of the spell.

It's possible, but I don't know what he would have to gain from it.

Technology foriegn to that of both Terra and Gaia, possibly stronger magics, alliances with other villains from other worlds. There are multiple possibilities...

As to what he would want specifically it's unknown to me.

I have said already: he wants to merge Gaia and Terra. He doesn't need other technology to do that, nor has he made any alliances that I am aware of... except for Lufene.

But I cannot pretend to understand him fully. So I do not know.

But what purpose would he have doing that...bringing two worlds together? To conquer both at once? Would something occur if both world merged?

He intends to turn Gaia into Terra. The souls of Gaia are filtered by the Iifa Tree, while the souls of Terra wait to claim this world for themselves.

That is what the Genomes were created for, as empty vessels ready to hold Terra's souls.
