[Answering it at last, the doctor certainly hoped there was a reason for this call.]

Greetings. To who am I speaking with?

You should know to whom you speak with, Doctor.

[He paused, but only briefly.]

Nabaat, it is a pleasure to hear from you! Now tell me, is all well in Narshe still?

Quite well, actually... but Narshe is not what I call about.

It seems I've come across one of those stones you've been researching. Such a beautiful stone.

[His interest is piqued now.]

Have you? May I ask which stone you've found?

It bears the sign of Sagittarius. A miner found it deep within the mines here not more than a few days ago.

He, of course, has been paid for his silence.

Don't you mean he's silenced? It would be much better if those who know of the stones were killed rather than paid off. You see, there is a horde of mortals in search of these treasures. Many of them are ignorant of the stones strength, but just a handful know of the power that lies within these gems.

Thus, it would be in our best interest to kill those who know of them.

He had no idea what it was. It was different than what they were pulling out of the mines, so he brought it to me.

[She wasn't sure who to thank for this more violent form of the Doctor, but she was pleased.]

Power? That's what the stone meant... [She mused to herself. Clearly the stone had spoke to her.]

[Thank Famfrit, darling. He sees potential in you and Cidolfus both. He could most certainly use The Betrayer on his side during this search for the stones. Despite her namesake, the Lucavi devil is more than loyal to their wicked cause.]

Aye, these gems are not ordinary gemstones. They are mystical stones of unlimited magick. You could easily reap revenge against those who've scorned you, Jihl. That is, if you decided to abide by the stone's will.

I'm sure Shemhazai shall answer your desires.

[Good job, Famfrit. You're playing up to Jihl's every desire, as is Shemhazai. It's too good to pass up. When you're offered power, you take it, or you're left by the side.

She's quiet a moment as she stares at the stone.]

She and I will have to talk more then. I'm interested in what she has to offer.

You'll be pleasantly surprised, Nabaat. Especially since the Lucavi are far greater in power than those mere l'Cie. In all due truth, you would be a fool not to accept her offer.

[You said the one million gil word, Famfrit. That's all it takes for her to make up her mind. The stone doesn't even need to speak to her again for Jihl to accept.]

I am no fool, Cid. I think Shemhazai and I have reached an agreement.

[Her hatred of the l'Cie truly amused him, especially since the woman was more than willing to offer her soul for the sake of eliminating them.]

Have I ever told you what a wise woman you are? Most ladies your age tend to be fickle and feeble, but not you.

[He had no idea what she'd offer up in order to destroy that disease. She's even spoken to Kefka of all people. She will find allies in all places, even offering up her soul to get the job done. Souls weren't necessary, after all. They held morals and ethics, neither of which she found appealing.]

I tend to be neither. [He could probably hear the smirk she had in the tone of her voice.]

But I never tire of hearing it.

[The doctor chuckled softly, clearly amused now. However, his chuckles do fade once he remembered the task at hand. Possessing now both the stone of Aries and Aquarius, Cidolfus needed to make way for Lindblum in such of the stone of Capricorn.]

Nabaat, I may have to take my leave soon. You see, another stone appeared within this realm, this one bearing the mark of Capricorn.

'Tis absolutely necessary that we retrieve the all of the stones before someone else claims them. I am certain we are not the only ones hunting for these holy relics, therefore we must make haste.

To Lindblum I go.

Lindblum? I'll depart Narshe to meet you there. If another stone has appeared, you may need some help.
