[Hey, look, it's Sephiroth. He looks to be near a farm of some kind, judging by the fences, the acres of grassland, and the Banora White trees in the background. He looks pretty calm, all things considered

[Sephiroth doesn't exactly sound suspicious, since as far as he knows Vincent is just an employee he never met, but he's not a trusting person in general. He at least sounds more curious than irritated.]
[There's an odd look on his face, and a slight tilt to his head, but nothing more to let on that anything's up with Reno at all - or the situation.]
Humor me, big-guy: what was the last thing you remember before arriving here? And ... I'll talk with Rufus ShinRa and see if I can get him to contact you. It's a long story, but from the time I was yanked out of, he's the President of Shinra.
[Another odd look, this one more blank than anything. No need to tell Sephiroth that HE was the very reason Rufus took over, right?]
[A very faint hint of relief creeps into Sephiroth's voice at seeing the familiar face, but blink and you'd miss it.]
I was on my way to Modeoheim, but there was a disturbance and my plane was forced to divert to Junon. [He won't, of course, be going into details about the 'disturbance' on an open frequency. Reno might guess he's referring to the Genesis Army attack on Junon though.] There was a flash of light, and then I woke up here.
[A brief pause]
So he's the President now? I see. [He cocks his head slightly to one side, but that's the only sign he gives of noticing Reno's weird looks]
[He relaxes, but the only sign that anything's changed is a bit of a goofball grin. Just a bit.]
Modeoheim, huh? I remember... [Lips dipped into a tiny frown, only to be shaken off and replaced with a smile again.] It's good to see you. Yeah, Rufus is President, or he is in regards to his time and mine. Won't go into details, but... he's a good leader now. You'll see, I guess.
[He hesitated for a second, then lifted a finger to his lips, contemplative.] Your current location looks too similar to one from our own world... do you know where you're at in relation to the locations in this world, at least?
[He does sound slightly amused at Yuffie's introduction, however.]
It seems you and I have past history. Shall I assume that things are going well in Wutai?
[He was sort of hoping she'd say yes. Being a general was enough paperwork for him, he didn't want to think about being a whatever-the-hell-Godo-called-himself. Or even the assistant to one.]
[Have a slightly shocked Cissnei who manages to hide it very well. He seemed very much saner than how Reno had described him from this time, so she simply answers the question.]
Rufus is with us, along with two other Turks. Some other members of SOLDIER are somewhere here in Gaia, though where I don't know.
[She shrugs lightly.] Some have been here for a while already, forming alliances and friendships of their own with other Sky People so that might be why.

[Vincent isn't really in any position to come and join Sephiroth, but he might be close to Lindblum.]

I am Vincent Valentine.

[Sephiroth is a famous person, so he's at least used to strangers knowing his name.]

I believe the town is called Dali. According to the farmer I spoke with, it's southeast of their capital Alexandria.
[A chocobo kwehs off-screen. Was it agreeing with him?]

You just arrived from your world? Not...somewhere else?

Straight from my world, yes.

I knew you'd be back.

I've been getting that a lot lately. Shall I assume we've met before?
[He never really met Yuffie before, after all. Godo, he remembers. Her? No.]

I'm insulted, Sephiroth. [She pauses.]
But you're forgiven, considering most don't remember their previous trips to Gaia.

Well, it's a start at least. Do you know why the SOLDIERs haven't reported in?
[It's entirely possible there was a reasonable explanation, but if they were Ravens or part of the Genesis Army he'd like to know.]

[He sounded just slightly relieved that he wouldn't have to cut down any more comrades. Not yet, anyway.]
