[Action - Campfire Post I] [Locked to people in Terra]

[Night has fallen and a small fire flickers in the dark, the only bright thing in a landscape that's utterly black. Terra has no moon and if there are stars, one cannot tell since the sky is shrouded by clouds. Mikoto is sitting cross-legged by the fire, her hands tucked in her lap.

This is a great place to camp, right? It totally is. Let's toast

[Rikku plopped down by the fire, crossing her legs and then tugging a hard leather case out of her pack. The clinking of glass could be heard as she opened it up and then began rummaging through, checking each of the bottles inside to make sure nothing had cracked or broken during the fighting and traveling of the day. She was humming softly to herself as she worked, probably an unconscious mental defense against the ruined world that surrounded them.]

[Seemingly satisfied, she reached into her pocket and took out several empty bottles she'd emptied, laying them out on the ground and then getting a thin rag from inside the bag and methodically cleaning them. When she reached the last one she paused, then stuffed the rag back into her bag without trying to clean it out. No sense losing a rag to whatever remained of the acid in there.]

[Now that they were clean, she began taking bits of herbs and junk and other things, dropping this piece or that piece into the empty bottles and setting each one down in front of her with a cork in each one, waiting for them to be 'finished' before she put them away.]

[ Rikku's actions have caught Blank's interest and his curiousity. He makes his way over, dragging his blanket along with him. ]

Mind if I join you?

[ He plops down beside her, watching intently. ]

[Rikku glanced up from her bottles and offered Blank a smile and a shake of her head.]

Go for it.

[And then she turned back to the bottles, picking one up and shaking it a few times before setting it back down.]

[ Blank continues to watch with interest, reaching out to pick up one of the bottles. ]

What are you making? Some kind of potions?

Just replacing the stuff I used today. Potion, potion, napalm, and...careful.

[She had been pointing at each bottle, and she paused as Blank moved to pick one up. Luckily it had a cork in it.]

If you spill that on yourself it'll melt your skin off.

[ Blank's eyes widen and he sets the bottle back down as carefully as he can. ]

Ouch, now that's some serious stuff. You make all these yourself?

Yeah, well, this seemed like a 'bring out the big stuff' situation, ya know?

[Rikku hadn't really been sure what to bring, but judging by the dragons, dangerous was better.]

Yup! I made sure to stock up on stuff before we came here.

That's impressive. Where did you learn a skill like that? Must be really useful all that knowledge and stuff...

Back home, mostly. I could make stuff out of almost anything there, when I had to. On Gaia it's kinda different 'cause they really don't have a lot of machines there, but I can manage with stuff.

And you can do amazing things with certain normal objects too.

That's really cool. I know my way around an airship and a stage, and I know how to be light on my feet and quick with my fingers, but I could never do anything like this.

What? Sure you could. It's not that hard! It's mostly like...memorization, ya know?

Like, to make a potion, you just mix this, with this, with some water.

[She pointed at various little things in her case as she talked.]

[ Blank listens and chuckles. ]

Knowing my luck I'd probably cause an explosion - and not the safe kind we use on stage...

[Rikku grins.]

Maybe! I blew up some stuff on my own when I was learning, sure! But once you start to learn, you do that a lot less!

[ Blank chuckles. ]

Maybe I'll give it a go one day!

You could try! Although, I'm not sure, I mean...back home you could just learn whatever you wanted, you know?

With these 'class' things on Gaia...

You mean with how some guys can use magic and others can't? I never really thought about it too much until the Sky People started coming.
