The Man Who Sailed Over The Sun [accidental; video]

Jul 24, 2010 15:07

[This accidental video starts out a tad fuzzy because of the harsh static that married the footage, however it was easy for those listening to hear the conversation at hand.]

I-I have no idea how that happened! I was merely trying to reach the shelf, and then I went sailing through damn ceiling!

Are you hurt? Look like you broke a few things…

Do we really need more destruction in this city?

[A few minutes roll by, but finally a reply was given.]

All of Lindblum can go straight to hell for all I care!

[He whimpers.] Ow, ow...

It appears to be starting to.

What did you do to yourself?

I've done nothing, but this foul land still finds elaborate ways to torture me! I was bouncing like a damn ball for about a minute or so before I ended up through the roof.

...

[Schadenfreude, dear doctor. Cid's in a bad enough mood to find your suffering a tad amusing, and he cracks the slightest smile.]

Quite interesting.

[Cidolfus actually turns on the video to snarl at Raines, but it's hard to look threatening when you're covered in bandages.]

Wipe that damn smirk off your face, churl!

[Sorry, the smirk is only growing a bit.]

Churl? Now that is an insult I haven't heard before.

[The doctor was just seething with rage now.]

Well, deem yourself as lucky to be rewarded with such an insult!

[Sorry, doctor. Too amused here.]

I will. ....By the way, is that the inn? For the love of... That was one of the only buildings in the area that was not damaged. A wonderful thing to have to return to tonight.

[Oh, that's it! A 'grade A' Dr. Cid rant is coming up just for you, Raines.]

You there, the one with the ridiculous pageboy hairstyle and equally ludicrous clothing, I've met you before haven't I?

Ah, yes! I remember correctly now.

You were that miserable sod who kept preaching about how non-threatening the L'Cie are despite all of the facts given by Lt. Commander Nibaat regarding their activities in Cocoon. For someone who takes such a stance against any notion of tracking down these fiends, you certainly seem to care more about the damn buildings in Lindblum than anything else! Perhaps this is a testament of how easily you can side against the common man for the sake of pursuing your false idealism.

Spare me of your needless jest, knave! Can't you see I'm in more than enough agony as it is?

If you truly possess any tact, you would not try to goad a wounded man into an argument.

False idealism? Charming. I still do not believe the l'Cie on their own are dangerous enough to track down; the only one who has caused this destruction has something further than what abilities her brand has given her going on. However, it seems that little will stop Nabaat from continuing to go on her witch hunt. It is hardly idealism, what I have, but facts that Nabaat does not have. She instead goes by assumptions and whatever the Primarch feeds her.

I am hardly goading you into an argument. Merely speaking. If you choose to perceive it as an argument or attack, that is your own fault.

[A snappy comeback would have been the reply to Raines' little rant, that is if Cidolfus wasn't feeling a tad faint now. Crashing through the roof of an inn head first, isn't a very good thing. Comical, yes. Good, no.]

Spare me! I told you before that I care not for your r-rhetoric regarding those pesky knaves. Gaia has more than enough perils, and I doubt Nabaat shall stir controversy for the sake of diluted grandeur.

I doubt the opposite. Either way, it appears that you ought to be getting some rest.
