So Roger and I went to see some friends tonight. I say friends because Roger and I met them around the same time, so they can be my friends and his, even though I have nothing in common with these people. They live near this Ski Resort called Massanutten? I think that's how it's spelled and junk. I just think of it like some White slave owner being like "What you say you little nigger boy" and the black kid replying "Massa nutten"
I know, bad joke.
Anyway they just built this new water park there like 2 minutes away from these guys. At the water park they have a nice buffet style restaurant, and an arcade. Of course this arcade isn't listed on DDRfreak.com as having a machine, but it did. DDR Extreme. So after dinner there I was like "Can we check out the arcade." and we did. I was looking around and didn't see a DDR machine of any kind, but it was a big arcade, but of course nestled in the middle of the arcade near the stairwell it was there.
So Roger had seen me play before on a shitty solo machine which the hardest song on there was Superstar, and I hate superstar. Anyway, so it was extreme, and the speakers were so loud. So I swipe my little card and Roger tells our friends to watch me. So I bust out Senorita speedy mix, cause I know the steps to that song so well. I had a huge crowd by the time it was done. Like a huge ass crowd. I got an A on the song, but I was so winded. I went on to play spin the disc for fun, and to cool off, and I AA'd it, which is my first heavy double at an arcade. Then for my final song I played Tears, because it has become my new favorite song evah!
I ended up barely passing it but I looked sweet. When I was done everyone started clapping. (What's funnier than 3 middle aged or older gay guys clapping for a 20 year old guy? not much, I can tell you that)
I was wheezing and coughing all the way home. I'm still winded.
2 things I learned today though:
1. I'm really really good at DDR even though I never play it anymore.
2. I'm severely out of shape, and that bothers me.
Cobolt flux where are you?
Also I'm really glad that DDR is awesome. It's the only game I know of that can randomly stop anybody and get them to watch. Doesn't matter how old. I had this one elderly couple watching me and smiling at me. It was sweet. Then there were like 10 or 15 kids from like age 7+
Also you know what makes me really happy? No one stepped up to play after I got off the machine. Every time I've played DDR someone has gotten up to play and show that he is better than me. No one did. NO ONE!
That makes me feel so fucking good. That means even if they were better than me they didn't feel that they were. I'm lovin it like a mcdonald's commercial!
