Thats right my fellow Americans and Californians, it is time for us to once again, head to the ballots and go vote! :D
Now, I know that there might be a lot of people out there voting today, but heres all I can say:
Vote for what you hope is the future that you want for not just America, but for the rest of the world. I know that things might not have been that good over the past eight years, but believe me: for those of you who have endured it like I have, to me, that definitely tells me a lot. ^_^
But my friends, let us not just vote in hopes of change, whether we're either voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, or John McCain and Sarah Palin, or people like Bob Barr or Ralph Nader, to me stuff like Democratic, Republican, Independent, Green party.....something like that shouldn't matter!
Because all in all, people like the politicial canidates are also just that: people. Sure, they may hold one of the most powerful political powers in the world, but without OUR help people, all that power is going to go into bad use.
And despite who wins or loses, let us all remember that we have tried to make a difference in our society. Not just for ourselves, but for each other. ^^
Now, while I know that theres some people who is wondering who i'm going to vote for, sadly, I must decline to say. Because personally who and what you're going to vote for is pretty much not in my interest. Besides, I have a lot of respect for both Barack Obama and John McCain, and if was able to vote for both of them at the same time, i'd do that! Besides, the media has so much screwed up coverage on both of them that i'd rather type up a letter to both CNN and Fox News on their coverage.
But like I said, despite who and what wins, I have a good feeling that the world is going to get a whole lot better. ^_^ That is, as long as we all make sure that we have a new president that will listen to us. ^_^
And like I said, Barack Obama and John McCain.....they're people just like you and me, and we should be able to talk to them about their goals, ideas and plans just like other people. If I ever had the chance, i'd go up to them, shake their hand, share my ideas and philosophies and maybe share a taco or too. And if we don't like their ideas, well we don't have to go nuts over it, but we're free to share our ideas with them. ^^
Besides, to me, a nice long negotiation is much more better and more inexpensive than a flimsy little sign. To me, times have changed, and word of mouth (and maybe Facebook and My Space) is the way to go these days. ^_^
The thing I like most about not only being an American and a Californian....is that it makes for who I am.....and i'm always free to listen to agreements and disagreements from others. ^_^ As well as a nice good chat. ^_^ My soul is brimming with romantic justice, that not even these words can even BEGIN to describe how I feel right now! :D
Anyways, time to go to class, and lets get ready to storm the ballots today! :D
