As a very last bugfix, I re-uploaded SpyJim with an unescapeable last boss. The thing is, there are no real battles in the game where you're allowed to run. (There's one where you're forced to run and there's another where you can run but the enemies don't attack you.) The player is trained throughout the game that he can't escape the battles.

That said, wouldn't it be interesting to get the player in that mindset and then make the only solution to the last battle to run? Most players wouldn't even consider the option for the first few playthroughs -- it wasn't available up until then.

Also, there was an unconscious, unintentional sort of symbolism in the giving of swords to enemies in SpyJim -- the more swords an enemy has, the more powerful he/she is. Look for a different motif in future episodes.
