Okay people I want to know everything about every vampire mythology ever.
Here's kind of the basic seminal vampire data:
- They drink the blood of the living
- They are undead
- They can nearly always make other people vampires by injecting their own blood
- Sunlight is fatal to them
- They are killed by beheading or by driving a wooden stake through the heart
- They are immortal
And here is some info that varies from mythology to mythology:
- They are repulsed by garlic and running water
- They can transform, usually into bats
- They have supernatural charm and can hypnotize with their gaze
- They have superhuman strength
- They are harmed by holy symbols and holy water
- They feed on human flesh! (This is the traditional Romanian mythology and has fallen out of favor)
- They sleep in coffins during the day and are powerless until night falls
- They can teleport through the shadows
- The more blood children a vampire has, the more powerful he is
- A vampire is enslaved to the vampire who turned him
