Better than making your players run to the ohr page to download whatever newest GAME they have this time. Plus, there's the constant problem of backwards (and forwards if someone doesn't read what the intended version is) compatibility. If someone was unfamiliar with the OHR they'd have no idea what to even play it with since the readme has no mention of the OHR page in it and it's buried god-knows-where on CP.
Understandable, but it'd take a *lot* more than five minutes for me to find out which version of the OHR I need, figure out where it is on a site I haven't visited in years, and install it.
This is really only an issue for people who are not actively involved in OHR development. 99% of the community is excited about the Ubersetzung release and probably already has the candidate executable.
Everyone else should know how to type "hamsterrepublic.com" into the browser window.
I wish - actually it's pretty hard to get people like Fenrir and AdrianX who report show stopper bugs to redownload and retest. And Nathan. And especially anyone who reports massive bugs in passing.
Oh by the way whenever I fire up custom my computer explodes in a massive fireball and I vaguely hear the cackling of hellish demons. I'm not sure if that's something that would interest you guys.
