Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice
It's been a while since I've had time to post, but all for good reason. On Friday, December 15th little Ava Michele finally arrived. Ok, so she wasn't so little, but smaller than we expected (which I'm not complaining about).
I arrived at the hosp[ital at 6 am Friday and they started the induction around 9 am. It was a long day, but Ava was born at 7:47 pm weighing in at 8 lbs 13 oz, 20.8 inches long, and with a full head of dark brown hair.
Aside from the new mommy thing, the holidays have been a little crazy too. We told everyone that we weren't going anywhere with the baby...so they all came to us. It was very nice and most people brought food, etc with them. But, it has been non-stop for almost 2 weeks now. I think I've only had one day since we've been home from the hospital without visitors...and that was today. I love my friends and family, but I do need some time to get myself back into some sort of routine. Thankfully, Ava is very easy going and just takes all the attention in stride. As long as she gets her bottle every 4 hours and isn't sitting in a wet diaper, she is a very happy baby. I'm knocking on wood as I type that she stays like that.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to post again sooner than later. It all depends on how long nap time takes and if mommy is awake enough to find the computer.
