Monday, Monday
Another Monday. Ugh! It was a pretty quiet weekend and I didn't want it to end. Saturday my husband actually wanted to go shopping. He needed some new jeans, so who am I to say no. I'm almost always up for shopping. We went to a few stores, but he didn't really have any luck. The style of jeans that he normally buys is apparently a very popular cut and size. Three stores and not one pair. He thinks that retailers discriminate against fat people. He did end up getting a few other things he "needed" and believe it or not, I behaved myself and only got a purse to replace the one that just finally wore out. We also went bowling. It was a kind of a spur of the moment thing, but it was a lot of fun. We haven't been bowling in a long time and I kicked his butt 3 games straight. Apparently though, the humor I saw in the whole thing didn't sit well with him.
Sunday we had an early dinner with some friends. Our one friend is expecting and by the looks of it, that baby is coming sooner rather later. I just saw her last weekend and the baby has dropped drastically since then. She also having some issues with her blood pressure and I think her doctor is going to tell her to stop working a bit sooner than she thought. It's not too bad, it's really only a week or so earlier than planned. So, a couple of us went to their house and cooked dinner for everyone and generally just had a good time hanging out. It was great to not have anything really to do...I think it's the first time in months that has happened.
Anyway, today was my first official doctor's appointment of this in-vitro attempt. Nothing like starting the week off at 7:15 Monday morning with a doctor's visit and blood tests. Today was just to get a baseline look at everything before the big hormones start on Friday. So far so good according to Dr. D. Can't complain about that.
