Bansky, a well known graffiti artist and a prankster, sneaked into institutions including the Louvre, London's Tate gallery and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to attach his artwork, like the ones below, alongside of old masterpieces.
I loved Bansky’s exhibition in LA, but I found it a little bit odd that an artist who uses graffiti to critique pollution and pro-war political policies uses an elephant to draw attention to the fact that 20 billion people live below the poverty line. Moreover, I didn’t expect it from an artist who previously sneaked into the London Zoo to write a graffiti message from the point of view of an elephant: "I want out. This place is too cold. Keeper smells. Boring, boring, boring."
