The thing is - I need to rewatch the episode and get the correct quote - the Colt can't kill Lucifer because he's Lucifer, or because he's an archangel?
I took it as it couldn't kill angels period. They left that kind of vague.

Yeah, in The End, older!Dean said Sam said yes in Detroit, but he didn't know why he said yes, what happened in Detroit to make Sam say yes. Was it the angels leaving? Or maybe something else. I'm both intrigued and confused.

It truly was a great episode. I loved the heartbreaking bleakness of it all. Loved Crowley, Jo, Ellen and of course Cas.
Sigh, Cas. So freaking fantastic. A smart, sneaky BAMF.
