One Unjugged Performance Later

Jan 27, 2005 09:41

Well, the 'intimate evening' thing went well; most importantly, we had a full house (2K seats!), so that's a nice bit of dosh to help the Tsunami victims.

I think I said perhaps three sentences total during interviews yesterday. Ro-been, Julie, and Rebecca had various degrees of annoyance on their faces at various times. Didn't have to say one bloody thing about the disc! Yes!

Today I will be sweeping in, like any good conductor, and take over the reigns for tonight's 'Swinging Tenors 2.0' performance. Same venue as last night; EM's name has encouraged attendance. (Col et. al. have been rehearsing with Chloe, the lead trumpet, conducting. She'd do a good job at the performance, but she says she's not quite ready for it, so doesn't mind me being Il Divo and barging in day of show.)

Tomorrow is the Dames' concert. Their venue is much bigger, of course, but then again, they are the Dames. Big party afters, of course. I wonder if my father-in-law will be reduced to crawling again? (insert evil bearded grin here).

At least next week, I don't have to do much, other than a costume fitting or two. Filming on Diva Project additions will be the week of the 7th. I am looking forward to having it finally finished. (Although I am sure that I will miss 'Shardnay'…. Not.)

(xposted to myspace, trying to get used to the new place, on Ro-been's suggestion. He blogs there exclusively, and keeps up with his message boards there, too. He says it feels more intimate than lj, and is easier to attract new fans there. We shall see.)

(Memo to Caro: See? I can play nice sometimes.)
