chinese vacation
ten days ago, we went back to visit my dad's hometown and feast on the generous harvest of lychees. when i'm not busy slapping mosquitoes away or eating lychees, i read italo calvino's 'invisible cities' and listened to 'the postal service' while waiting in the dim room for the brooding rainclouds to start pouring. i passed by guangzhou and i fell in love with the extremely tall flyovers and the bare dusty roads in china. i want to visit my uncle in guangzhou again and learn how to use uncle ron's ae-1 properly this summer.
