OH how I wish I was still there! I keep looking back at my photos trying to relive the moments lol.. So where do I start?
We left on Wednesday, July, 19th, took a WestJet flight into Vancouver B.C. My parents stayed at my uncles place, and my n my sis stayed at my cousin Marcia, and Rick (her husband) lovely house. Our reasoning of deciding to visit B.C was influenced by the wedding of my cousin Derek, and his lovely filipino bride Elden!
While in B.C we did alot of sight seeing We headed down To Whistler, sooo nice there! Amazing race actually had one of their clue boxes set up, as that was one of they places they were taping! It was soo hott that day yet way up the mountain people were still skiing! The employees of Whistler seem to be made up of mostly australians, and some hott ones indeed lol.
We also took the sky train (wat they use instead of buses, it's like a track way up above the streets and roads that an electric train with no driver goes down all around the city), to the seabus. The seabus is like a ferry, which took us to North of Vancouver. Everywhere we went was very beautiful.
We also headed down to Victoria, took the ferry there. The ferry has alot of things inside of it, it was alot bigger then I thought it would be. In victoria we visited the wax museum lol, and the parliament buidlings etc... The next time i go I'm soo going whale watching, but we didn't have enough time for that!
We also went boating in Vancouver on my cousins Speed boat.. I was able to take alot of really great scenery pictures on the water of the mountains and Million dollar homes up on the mountains.
The wedding of My cousin Derek, and Elden was sooo sweet, they really are a great couple. When I visited Dereks apartment he showed us these pictures that we were told about. When Derek was a little boy still living in Hamilton, Ontario, he took a picture on this horse that was brown with white patches. Well it happen to be that Elden has a picture of herself at the same age on a horse that looks almost exactly identical to the one he was on, on the other side of the country. It was like a fate thing lol. The pictures looked so alike it's sooooo strange. Anyways My cousin Marcia and Rick where sponsor's, readers of the wedding so they were kinda like apart of the wedding party, So me n my sis had to help them out with setting up the flowers at the church Bringing down the white pigeons to the church, and bringing the center pieces of the semise fish to the reception b4 the mass started.. Was that a an adventure and a half lol. When we were loading the boxes with the fish into the car, rick acidently made one of the fish jump out some how, and we couldn't find it anywhere. They camera guy was taping it all to add to the bloopers at the end of the wedding video lol. We're like ah just don't tell the bride so she doesn't stress out. I told them they could put the empty fish bowl on my table I won't tell. lol. BUT when we arrived to the hall we were unloading the fish bowls outta the box and I found the fish under the bowl. My cousin thought it was dead, but i told her Since it's still moist their's a good chance it might still be alive. So I grabbed it and put it back in the bowl and away it swam.
The catering of the wedding was chinese food, and the middle of the table had a spinner so instead of passing things around, you just turn it towards you.
During the speeches and the photoslide show there wasn't a dry eye in the whole place. Even the best man matt (his friend of 15 years) was really tearing up. It was sooo sincere, and sweet too swee all of this. I'm so happy for them. Daisy caught the bouquet, and elmo (bride's brother, great guy lol what a character) caught the garder. I must say I had a few capecods (cranberry juice with vodka), and champange, so i was feeling mighty good. We ripped up the dance floor, along with cousin danni, and elmo, and i danced with the best man who later on seemed to be fanscinated with our dancing. They say " So is that how they teach you to dance in toronto?" (they say toronto, cus it's the closest major city to hamilton). Everyone keeps telling me that he wants to marry me now, lmao oh boy.
The wedding Rehersal dinner was at Elden's house, their garage is renovated with hard wood floor, and looks like elmo has a mini pet store going on their. We took pics with his python snakes. And the men had a good time with the Karokee machine after dinner and a few beers in their system.
I loved seeing my B.C family again, whom I NEVER see enough of, and i'm so glad that i got to meet some new great people who I feel like are my own family as well. Elden's family is amazing, her mother and father are always in such good spirits, also considering everything they have gone through, and her mother battling cancer. Her sister is a such a sweety, and her brother Elmo, well you can never have enough to say about elmo lol. He's such a unique person lol. He LOVES languages and the portugese culture, that he's always walking around saying a thing or two in our language, though when he gets confused it can lead to a comedic moment. For example, at the wedding my dad asked him how the pigeons were doing (in portugese), and in portugese the word for pigeons and penis are almost similar lol. So he pointed to his lowerself and said Oh my (penis in portugese) is doing fine. And we all laughed and he didn't get it, cus he didn't know that he said the wrong word. All in all a good guy. lol.
OH ya THE Real Estate in B.C right now is FLIPPIN EXPENSIVE, i saw 600,000 dollar houses that looked like a freakin Shack!! Wat's up with that? Guess I won't be moving there anytime soon!!
