With Spring Break here, I got another commission to bake. However, it's not the usual cake.
But it does have icing.
Now, I'm not about to give away my recipe for cinnamon rolls. That's another top secret one. However, let me fill you in on a small tip. A lot of people use a 13x9 pan, and just place all of their rolls in it. That does work, but if you're looking for nice, round cinnamon rolls?
Use a muffin pan.
While it does seem a bit.. Odd, it works great. Spray the pan well before, and then place the portioned roll cuts into each hole. Bake and you get..
Perfection.
Also made cupcakes. Again, no recipe, but these cupcakes were a lot of fun to make. They're strawberry flavored, and I used fresh, diced strawberries to make them.
I received a lot of compliments from the customers who commissioned these. Definitely a nice break from the usual vanilla and chocolate out there.
Doesn't this look familiar? You'll be seeing it again real soon. ♥ The icing on top is vanilla, with just a hint of pink to help give it some color.
Everyone who has one always tells me eating one of these is the cake version of eating a chocolate dipped strawberry. I am more then happy to provide the cake equivalent.
