I didn't like it. It was like you said.. rambling.. and kind of whiny. I couldn't relate to anything in the book because of his attitude about everything. I don't know. I finished it only because I made myself read to the last page.

I also have leido “Bread and came” and I am a great admirer of Ignazio Silone, recommend to you to read Fontamarra, Am Argentine, is not excuse not to write correctly but it is the maximum who I could do.

the only thing i liked about the book was that they called the boy Toph. how sad is that?
