Peng Chau and Lantau Island
Peng Chau
Still in HK!
The buildings were very different to the ones on HK Island though.
Second photo is accidental but came out pretty neat.
It was pretty shanty, they had bricks on roofs just like in Shangri-la.
Did some walking.
This dog led us up the hill. Led us to a valley where there were more houses and where it got very very stuffy.
We were planning to go up the hill. Apparently, it's only about 19 floors high with 300 steps.
Starts getting harder to breathe as the breeze was non-existant.
The houses were pretty along this road.
Discussed living on Peng Chau but definitely not on this part - too hot and too far from the ferry pier.
Pause in the photo taking. Saw Finger Hill in the distance and the Mother decided it was too high to walk all the way up in horrible polluted and humid weather. So we turned back feeling cheated by some research saying that the hill wasn't at all high.
Found this fella on the way down.
And this.
Definitely less glamourous than Shangri-la roofs.
Lots and lots of bikes when you live on an outer island. I'm jealous.
Waiting for the ferry to Mui Wo on Lantau Island.
The ferry was pretty empty but I kept thinking that if we die, there are plenty of lifejackets but would I be able to take the plastic wrapping off?
Lantau Island
It was dreaming! Haha, not really in focus as there was another dog looking at me.
This island is bigger than Peng Chau so even more bikes!
I stopped taking photos. I was too sticky and tired to carry my Canon on my shoulder.
What happened next was walked around to Mui Wo then took a bus to Tung Chung which is on the other side of Lantau. It wasn't so nice, all residential apartment blocks with a shopping mall and the Cable Car which keeps breaking down. Waited for Dad who came over to have dinner with us then home by 11pm!
