What on earth just happened.
The first 2 days of school are out of the way and now Friday is upon us. Wheee!
Rotating schedules are sort of fun, mostly because the morning goes so quickly. Unfortunately, it causes the day to blur. Since I see every student in the 6th grade, except for 1, at some point during the day, I'm having a hard time keeping track of who belongs to whom and who needs what. Yesterday I had an extra copy of the Math homework that I was trying to pass out to my Math students while they were in Science. Looking at 35 faces that all look vaugely familiar and trying to pick out a select few really threw me for a loop. I mean...of course, how hard could it be to remember 67 faces, names and schedules...I mean, I had a whole hour...sometimes two hours with these kids. I must be slacking.
Aside from my "lapses in organization" and "sanity" things have been going really well. I enjoy my new room, a whole 8 steps from the staff room. I make sure to give my former "booney-ville" a good neenerneener whenever I see them.
