The day of my sister Monica's funeral was snowy and COLD! My Dad made us promise that if me and/or my Mom went before him, we'd have to do so when it was warmer. Sounds good to me, especially if I'm on this side of the cemetary plot.
The funeral home had a cat! Big fluffy orange thing. Funeral Home Cat (FHC) also had a local younger, smaller orange tabby cat, who decided that FHC was the best thing since catnip and decided that he would be FHC's Buddy. As we were leaving out the door, Buddy-cat slipped inside looking for his friend while the pallbearers prepared the casket for transport to the church.
We waited outside in our car for about 10 minutes before the doors opened up with the pallbearers ready to walk my sister's casket to the hearse. And leading this procession? Buddy-Cat!!
I have now decided that I want cats at my funeral viewing!!
cats!
