I've just arrived and I might have packed too much but everything I brought is quite useful really..

My duffel bag is too heavy and I’m starting to wonder whether I overpacked. If I’d overpacked one of my sisters would probably have told me so, but Kirie was busy with her pet snail and Chiyumi thinks a properly packed bag is the sort that bursts at the seams with teddy bears and such, so I don’t think either of them would really have noticed if I had packed too much stuff. That’s not exactly fair, since I always help them out with their bags when we go visit Obaa-san in Osaka, and although ‘Kaa-san tells me it’s their prerogative as younger sisters, I still don’t think it’s very fair at all. They might get spoiled or turn out like Echizen.

I tried to unpack earlier. Everything is on my bed right now, and the fact is that if you count the duffle bag as well, there’s so much stuff that I can’t actually see the bed, just the two bottles of shampoo, three bottles of conditioner, four-and-a-half combs, three hairbrushes, some clothes, three pencils, an amount of packet noodles, a tennis racket, some tennis balls, an amount of homework, a calculator, tissue packets, a dictionary, a roll of grip tape, a notebook, safety pins, a postcard, some string, a box of matches, a pair of shoes, a flashlight, a rather chewed-looking yellow scarf, an amount of apples and pears, two bottles of water, a disposable camera, an alarm clock, an iPod, another pair of shoes, Kirie’s autograph book, some batteries, five oranges, assorted black pens, one of which has broken and leaked all over my shoes and tissue packets and grip tape and tennis balls, some onigiri from ‘Kaa-san, a towel, some manga, a long ruler, my wallet which is quite empty, Chiyumi’s pink cap, a first-aid kit, four envelopes, some writing paper, three CDs that belong to Kamio, a jacket, another half of a comb, a bento box I bought at the train station, a list of emergency telephone numbers, the money that was supposed to be inside my wallet, an umbrella, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a chemistry textbook, soap, some stamps and a piece of scarlet heart-shaped cardboard that I really do not think I packed because I would have noticed if I even owned something of the sort, even if Kamio does call me oblivious sometimes. He really shouldn’t call other people oblivious, especially when he runs everywhere so many times the normal speed that he’s never there long enough to notice anything at all.

I have a roommate too, which seems counter-intuitive because there are plenty of rooms left over. I bet Echizen gets his own room. That kid is ridiculously spoiled. He still owes me a roll of grip tape. Come to think of it, my grip tape right now is covered in ink. I'll have to talk to him about returning me that roll from last time.

I don’t mind the roommate so long as he doesn’t hiss, really, but he is hissing all the time now like the snake in the pet shop that time when we got Kirie’s snail and the person at the counter tried to overcharge us and when we told him that he was charging twice the price we could get next door he got flustered or something and knocked the hamsters into the snake cage by accident and tried to charge us for them as well.

My roommate is the one who doesn’t get along with the Momo-person who argues with Kamio all the time. He wears a bandanna.

Tachibana-san is here already, and he seems to be rooming with Yukimura-san. It appears that there are no cooks here, so somebody had better get around to banning Tachibana-san from the kitchen because he thinks he can cook but he keeps making soup with sugar instead of salt and soggy undercooked vegetables and raw prawns and sometimes he burns the water. I'd lock him out myself if it weren't such a disrespectful thing to do. Tachibana-san isn't my buchou anymore, but he helped all of us from Fudomine very much and we owe him at least some respect. He still really can't cook though. I should warn Yukimura-san.

It is rather disorganized here. That probably leaves more time for practice though. There are some people here I haven't played against before. I wonder if Kawamura-san would be interested in a match. 'Spot' doesn't work well against Hadoukyuu and I'd like to improve that. He's stronger than Ishida anyway.
