I almost forgot what I was doing when I came on here. Then I read some friends' posts and realized that I wanted to share a jolly Yule time experience. :) (And list all the lovely presents I got.)
Let's see... Talked to my family and the in-laws. Very amusing. The in-laws were all gathered at one place and Chris got passed around. Every person asked the same three questions. Poor guy. (I laughed a lot about this.) I miss all of the family. My aunt and uncle might be coming out this spring, and if they do, my mother-in-law is coming at the same time. YAY--my favorite people!! (Yes, I am being serious here, Lol). And this July we're probably going to be going back to PA for a two week visit before going on our honeymoon. (IRELAND here we come!!)
Ate food. Of course, we don't celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Yule, on the winter solstice. But doesn't mean we can't treat it like X-mas. I made pork chops. YUM. I've never made them and was extremely surprised that they turned out okay. (I actually wanted them to turn out like my aunts, which are usually really dry but still good. Chris disagreed and said I made them just right. Oh well.)
Well, Chris and I have a LOT of trouble when it comes to presents. We quite literally celebrated my birthday for a week. I opened a present every night. It was shameful! We sort of did that with Yule, only we started three days before. Here's a list of the various things we got.
