OKay, an update is necessary for my own sanity, as much as it's necessary for the feeding of my reading public. Yes, that's you.
I bought a new computer. My older one had officially "shat the bed" when I came home monday night. I went out that same night, went to Circuit City, and bought myself a very, very spicy HP Pavilion. Let me join the chorus: I HATE VISTA. But I can finally work on a computer that's fast and modern, sort of pretty to look at. That means nothing, but I've finally attained the system that I've craved for years and years. It was cheap, too.
Also: I have a security deposit and first month's rent on my first floor unit. The guy seems really cool. He makes me feel straight when I'm talking to him, and I feel secure in the fact that the gayest man in the world will be living below me. I want to invite him up for malbec tastings, which I'm sure shall mutate into mike's hard lemonade bingeing, with dry, veiled, full-eye-contact allusons to crystal. Let me point out here that I've never even seen Tina up close, except in something that I suspect was pill-form. There's always first-time fun, though.
On Valentine's Day I covered Bianca's shift because Brent and she were kaput. She began to cry and I was summoned to the scene of the crime. A very handsome Scotsman left me his phone number. I didn't call him because I'm a dolt. Instead, I went out with co-workers for and drinks and the never-ending pursuit of oblivion.
Justin Dery-- Are you out there?
I've made reference to co-workers, drugs, and my immortal loneliness.
My work is done here.
