Finding first
So I have decided to try to do something I've seen others do - the 30 or 365 days of whatever. Mine is going to be 30 days of blogging. I stopped doing it except for blurbs and blobs somewhere around last year - October maybe? Losing my job then killed off a lot of stuff - blogging and hockey pool were at the top of the list. So here's hoping!
So for those who don't know - Monica is pregnant and as of yesterday 29 weeks along. It's crazy to think by mid August I'm going to be a newly minted Dad. Me, DAD?!? I know I'm already a father because I knocked up Monica - OK, I ASSUME I knocked up Monica. I think it's a good assumption - but once the little one is out it REALLY kicks into high gear. Monica home for a year with little one and then there's me. Wowsa.
I'm also on the hunt for a new car. The mighty Intrepid got T-boned by a Chevy 1/4 ton who blew a stop sign. $5000 damage to a car that one of the top ten stolen in Winnipeg and which has rust on the kick panels? Yeah - done. So I'm on the hunt. I'm hoping to hear back from a couple people on if their cars are available still but we shall see. I really need to retire the truck. I just replaced the starter but it still needs two back tires badly and the clutch is about 80% dead. Not cool I tells ya. If we find a decent car the plates go off the truck and a 'For Sale' sign goes on. Then I guess I start saving for a beat up 1/2 ton. With me biking and bussing to work it'll sit most of the time and I can work on it to get it safetied. That's my rough plan anyway!
