Teh Gay Sex, or how I "deceitfully" snuck my way onto Brokeback Mountain.
Well the proverbial cherry has been popped. Sort of. I went to see "Brokeback Mountain" this afternoon with Sally and Ann. It was amazing. I'd like to compare it, at least financially, to The Day after Tommorrow.
The Day after Tommorrow: 125 million dollar cost.
BrockeBack Mountain: 14 million dollar cost.
Ang Lee knows how to make a fucking beautiful movie. Even setting aside the scellant story, the brillaint acting and the strong script, this movie could hold the attention of someone with a severe case ADD! The mountains, the hills, the trees, the rivers, the sheep!
So at the moment I'm in the doghouse (I understand why people don't say cathouse but come on, in all fairness) with my parents for "deceitfully" sneaking into the movie. Bullshit and I'm standing by what I did. I don't regret seeing it and I recommend it to anyone who considers themselves openminded or an appreciator of great films. And the second time you see it bring a homopho-normal person to it for shits and giggles.
