Slowly but surely...

Some things are coming along, others I need to force.  My second song mash up is going slowly, because it's more complicated.  I had an idea for another video, but it was already taken.  I wasn't too surprised.  My idea was to take the NOM NOM NOM song, slow it down, drop the pitch to make it sound demonic and then take clips from zombie movies and put them together.  Not that original, but a funny idea, and someone else took it.  They didn't adjust the sound, but I felt like I couldn't do my idea without taking theirs.

This summer is the trial of elements.  Just an idea I had.  I've already gotten a bad burn, that's fire down.  Water is next, then earth.  I don't know what the sky trial will be, but the others...will be fun.  Both of them are difficult ideas that have the potential to be a lot of fun.  We'll see how it goes.

Aisha's up this week, till tuesday.  I'm happy about that, but I'm sad because I don't know when I'll be able to see her again.  Yes, it's distracting, but I'm still doing things that I should be.  Met with someone about resume advice, I'm going to work on that after I eat soon, been working on the mash, taking care of things with the school.  Found that by keeping next semester part time, I'll get a super sweet refund!  Till then, I need a job, so me n nolly are going to go job hunting monday morning.  Leaves most of my weekend open, which is good cause I'm having a sleepover with Rhiannon, Aisha, and Eric on saturday.

So helping Eric's dad move...Talk about a score!  When someone moves across the country, they can't take everything with them.  What better to do with the stuff that you might put into storage than to give it to the people helping you?  So far, I've gotten a sick leather jacket (must be from when he was a slimmer man) a stack of playboys from the 90s (including Reagan's daughter!), but today I got the best one!

I had to show him that I was proficiant at it, not just wanting it for wanting it, but he gave me a trumpet!  It is REALLY nice!  I'm just holding it for now, I don't know if he wants it back, but it's something musical and new to learn.  I still have trouble hitting a high C, but I remember the fingerings from when I played the baritone horn.  I might not be very good, but it's meditative.

As long as I stay on track, it's shaping up to be a good summer.
