My inlaws have an old Matchbox car carrier truck (circa 1969) that's missing a couple of tires. Can anybody tell me how to try to find a good source for these?
(I don't actually want to spend the earth on this, though, even though it's vintage and deserves better, because it seems it is likely to be ceded to nephews.)
The trailer's side decals read:
FARNBOROUGH MEASHAM
CAR AUCTION COLLECTION
and its bottom reads (molded into the metal):
GUY WARRIOR
CAR TRANSPORTER
"MATCHBOX" SERIES
KING SIZE K-8
MADE IN ENGLAND
BY LESNEY
The bottom of the tractor reads (molded into the metal):
"MATCHBOX"
SERIES
GUY WARRIOR
TRACTOR
KING SIZE
K-8
MADE IN
ENGLAND
BY
LESNEY
(I'll be cleaning up the formatting and adding a couple of crappy cellphone pics once I'm back at my own computer again.)
