Another couple of semi-random observations
1. I have this widget from meebo.com posted in a couple of places that supposedly allows me to be IMed by anyone without benefit of any IM client, and supposedly accepts offline messages. Well, this may be so if I'm actively logged in at meebo, but I have my meebo account set up in GAIM at home, and I've realized now that GAIM does not play nicely with it. This morning I found a GAIM message requesting authorization for a user, and of course it only showed the meebo-generated ID, not any alias. Since I wasn't at my computer at the time, it was not authorized, I was not shown as online, I have no message, and I am burning with curiosity to know who was there!
2. The trouble with going to bed early is that you are more likely than not to wake up obscenely early. So now that the sun is coming up, I think I'm finally ready to go back to sleep. EDIT: So much for that bright idea; the time to go back to sleep is before sun-up!
