I used to like Barnaby when he was traded to Pittsburgh. I hold a special place in my heart for certain former Penguins... Barnaby is not one of them.

Martin Straka is... he's now with the Kings...
Jan Hrdina is (to a lesser extent)... and he's now with the Devils (via the Phoenix Coyotes)
Johan Hedberg is (and he's now in goal for the Cannucks thanks to Cloutier's injury)
Alexei Kovalev is (I know, I know you don't seem to care for Kovy, but I still dig him, despite his brief stint in NY-- I loathe the Rangers!)
and right now my #1 favorite former Penguin is Detroit (via Washington Capitals) Red Wing Robert Lang.

He's responsible directly or indirectly for 3 of Detroit's 5 goals in games 1 & 2 (both of which they won) including an absolutely brilliant goal in game 1 where he maintined his balance after a check long enough to get the puck past Vokoun.

I just hope the Wings return to form tomorrow night.

Oh and good luck to the Devils tonight. I'm not a Devils fan but I have a level of distaste for the Flyers which runs almost as deep as my contempt for the Rangers. I hope the Devils even the series and eventually send the Flyers packing. I'm sick of the Flyers using the Chicago Blackhawks as their "farm team" (Tony Amonte, Jeremy Roenick, and Alexei Zhamnov-- all former Blackhawks are now Flyers) and I find Bobby Clarke to be a somewhat bigoted racist after some of the anti-Russian comments he made about the 97 Red Wings who swept his beloved Flyers quite handily for the Cup that year.

I'm the same way, I follow ex-Devils all over the place.

I'm liking Hrdina, seems to be fitting in well (at least for the short-term; long-term? who knows!).

I don't even mind Kovalev too much, but that was beyond pathetic. I'm never going to get over it! How stupid can you be to completely stop playing in double overtime?!?!
