Penalties for driving without license or registration
Can anyone tell me what the penalties are for driving without license or registration in Montreal? Also if it is in a vehicle that is NOT owned by the person, the owner may or may not be aware of them using the car (I'm pretty sure they do though and they know the person doesn't have a license)
Does anyone actually know someone who has been caught doing one or more of these things and what happened?
Also is it considered auto-theft, or borrowing (intent of returning the car, it's their mother's, if the mom doesn't know?
EDIT: also I know this person has a prior for driving a motorbike also without license/insurance/also not his. Would this make it a repeat offense if he gets caught or not since it's a different vehicle type?
