Verdun Produce

Hello!
I live on Wellington in Verdun, and am finding the produce selection in the neighbourhood leaves to be desired. I've scoured the Metro, the Maxi and the IGA, La Pomme Verte, and a variety of the Asian markets on the strip, but I cannot for the life of me find Kale.

Kale is definitely scarce here, and the kale I DO manage to find is almost always wilty and yellowed....unfortunately I'm not familiar with Verdun, I only know where to find it downtown, but I have seen it in IGA's sometimes. Perhaps it'll show up in your local IGA eventually...

I live in Verdun too and the closest place I have found to buy kale is PA grocery store on du Fort.

In Ville-Emard, on Monk street, Epicerie Shaana always has kale.

You might have more success looking for chou frisé, its French name. I see chou frisé all the time at my grocery store, but it's unfortunately pretty far from Verdun!

I sometimes see it at the Maxi on Wellington, but it's kinda rare.
You might like to call around & ask if/when they carry it?

Are there any health food stores? I recently bought a bunch of organic kale at my local health food store in DDO (Health Tree). It was $2.29 for a bunch. I happened to spot kale at Loblaw's the same day and it cost the same for not-organic kale.
