repairing headphones?

i bought a gorgeous and $$$ pair of headphones last year, and i must have pulled a little too hard tonight getting them out of my bag, since the left ear no longer works. one of the copper wires has been pulled/cut. is there any way of fixing it? know any place/person who can? i'd really rather not buy new ones.
