Science Fiction Conventions-- coming to a venue near you!
Did you know that the World Science Fiction Convention is coming to Montreal in a year? Or that Neil Gaiman is the guest of honor?
Well, long before that (next month in fact) is Con*Cept-- a great place to get your feet wet and see that conventions aren't quite as weird as they look on TV. There will be panels on all sorts of topics, gaming, a costume competition, art show, cool stuff to buy, a dance and for the first time-- Children's programming.
I could finish up with a "Beam on in" joke or something like that but we're really trying to get away from the whole "Trekkies Only" misconception so I won't.
