i am slowly getting fed up with europe's fervent antiamericanism. yes, bush is an idiot, blaaa bla and iraq was for the oil but it's just become so fashionable now to hate them. yesterday i saw two dirty punk kids with fuck america tattooed on their arms. they must have been, like, 13.
this british NGO girl at the wedding was almost screaming at this american guy chris at some point, despite him repeating "i didn't vote for the guy" about 100 times.
and that joke i read on LJ yesterday about bush drowning or whatever is just not funny.
i don't like to voice strong opinions unless i know what i am talking about. the loudest people are always the politically uneducated ones. for me this is almost like preww2 antisemitism: they are rich, they are powerful. i am beginning to feel that deep down it is just envy.
on an entirely different note - i have been out again every night bar one this week, and tonight is d's party, and tomorrow is cyril's leaving do. it is now becoming a habit at work that i go to the loo and powernap coz i am so desperate to shut my eyes a bit. maybe if my work wasn't so mind numbing i wouldn't need this, but i guess a lifestyle change is in order. should be easier as it gets colder and all the open air places close up. on the other hand these are the best years of my life apparently so i should do my best to live it to the full. i did have fun and did meet new, ineteresting people. valamit valamiert.
aaaand we are going to transylvania at the end of the month. just a long weekend. haven't been yet even though it's round the corner from here, it is supposed to be a real trip back in time. some people still live like a 100 years ago. and vodka comes in waterglasses.
