I don't know this Molyneux fellow and from these descriptive fragments I probably don't want to. He's probably the sort of person my 80-year-old thrice-divorced Dad would call "a preacher" with a very sour tone, and then go back to mucking around in Photoshop.

But the comment I want to leave is this: I bet you're overthinking it. I bet that with Molyneux, the medium is the message: Look what he's doing, and doing it on. How much does that have to do with what he claims to personally embody or practice? Not much, it sounds like.

His podcasts take that format, which makes some of what he is saying difficult to accept and consider fairly, but much of what he is saying is very useful. He's not selling god(s). Quite the contrary: he's an atheist. It's not religion; it's philosophy. If you're interested in pondering the nature of existence, thought, ethics, truth, etc. give him a listen.
