Such a violent puppeteer
Tensing strings and tugging thoughts
I dance so knowing and loving
But each step is yours
Each muscle so orchestrated by
Your needs
I know better now than to
Ask those questions
For I can see you there
Tearing into your smiles with
Indecision
If only you had danced
These steps
In our solace
You would cry for us and
Bless these strings
It all becomes
And you melt away
But even when you sleep
He will not let me
Mercy comes so seldom and
So fickle
With such a violent puppeteer
